Selling Tips

Selling your home can feel like a daunting task, but with the right approach and guidance, it can be a smooth and rewarding experience. Here are some essential seller tips to help you get the best value for your property and attract serious buyers. These are some simple fixes if you are selling a home. Yes, your home may have an extraordinary location, massive views, and a great floor plan. Those all matter-obviously. If you really want to get a buyer to fall in love and write a good offer on your home you must minimize the objects and add value in every possible way. Read these suggestions carefully. Call me if you need painters, HVAC contractors, cleaners, or even window washers.
Paint your garage. If you have a garage then show it off! When you have a garage like the one in the top picture, take one weekend to prime and paint it. A basic off white or light gray is perfect but don't leave it unfinished.
Paint it, sweep the floor, organize your toys and tools, and make this area present as well as the rest of your home/condo. It's a big deal!
Serve the boiler or furnace. As the seller, it will likely cost you money one way or the other. If your boiler or furnace room looks like chaos, it's going to affect both the number of offers and the quality and dollar amount of the offers you receive. In short, this is a major problem. My advice? Have the system serviced. Chances are, you will not have to install a new system but replace or repair the items that need it and keep your paid invoice to show to the buyers and their inspector.
Clean your windows. Please take the time to hire a window cleaner or ask your HOA to get the windows cleaned. Clean windows are a part of a strong presentation.
Selling your home is a significant milestone, and with these tips, you can approach the process confidently and optimistically. If you’re ready to take the next step or have questions about selling your property, feel free to reach out to Jason Smith at JasonSmith@SummitLiving.com
